finally....

well i've been really tied up with my classes last few weeks.and last saturday & sunday was my exams...phiewwwwww...finally its over...

well "wat" classes u should ask...
heh...well...i always wanted to learn to play a musical instrument...a traditional musical instrument. so i took up classes for this indian traditional instrument called "veena". its a string based instrument. i joined in march 2002..and suddenly last year my teacher said we'll be having examination this year and this examination would be conducted by a Music school principal from India.
i was like.."what????...for heaven's sake...i dont need anymore exams!!"
i took up music to help me relax........not give me more exams to study for!

so i had no choice...and for the exams we needed to master a few additional songs(all the songs we learn is in Sanskrit)within like 8 months...so there was even more pressure(this was going on even when i was doing my FYP).
and not only that...we would also hav a graduation+performance after the exam...hav to prepare for tat as well.

so since last month..we've been having practise every night at my teacher's place...i would have to rush after work to Klang every day.
last Sat n Sun was my theory n practical exam.

gosh the theory part..no need to ask...coz most of the words used are Sanskrit based...i think i messed up the words..and mixed up the song composers fathers name...dunno who's father is who now....oopss...i dun think the teacher is gonna be too pleased with me if i change their fathers..:(
... i cant even remember the composer's name properly...wat abt his father...and worst still.....i have to remember the composer's SONS names...!!

i crapped whatever i could...and worst still...we had to sit on the FLOOR and answer...thats the rules!
U ASKED FOR IT PRAKASH!
u wanted traditional huh?....nah hav it....its all for u.. my back like jam oredi..dunno how on earth i'm supposed to write...i cant even find 1 propoer position...
my back was aching like mad by the time i finished at 10pm(exam started at 7pm).
after exam...rushed back home for practise..coz next day had the practical one.

on sunday morning...my fingers were like bengkak...damn sleepy
and went to my teacher's place around 1.30pm...and waited for my turn.
its on a 1 to 1 basis.
so i waited...and waited...and waited...
my turn came at 8.30pm!
wow...so FAST!

goodness...i was like half dead oredi...sitting on the floor n waiting.
inside the room my hands were shivering...ahhaha...i dunno wat i played...
anyway its all over...the India teacher seemed to be satisfied...;)..i bodek her a bit here n there...

phiewwwww....after the exams...went back home and slept...and now i'm at work...and part of the rules again...we have to be vegetarian until the graduation is over...:(

this whole week hav to practise again for our graduation+performance at the hall.
this sat would be the final thing..and on sunday i'm gonna sleep for one whole day..seriously...i just need REST..tats all i'm asking for now.

ohh...wats the ending...

haha..i just realized i forgot to tell u guys the ending..

well...both of them managed to get into the train..
Mr.Fast ran over the platform and managed to get into the train and press the "Door Open"button..until Mr.Slow finally got his ticket and ran to the next platform.

..tats the advantage of KTM...
...or probably the ONLY advatage of KTM..:P

its becoming a norm...

well today morning as usual i was in the KTM station getting my ticket.
as i didnt want to catch the early train(coz its always packed...to tired to stand today)..i purposely went a bit late....heh..but what happens?
the early train also arrived while i was getting the ticket...

u idiot...when i'm rushing to get on u...u seem to be leaving me...the day i dun want to take u...u r here waiting for me...go to hell...i tot
anyway...i didnt want to rush..i'd rather sit n wait at the station for another 10 minutes for the next one.

however...when the first 1 was still waiting there...there were 2 guys who wanted to board the train badly.
hehe...they were in their 14teen's i guess.
one of the guy(Mr.Fast) already got his ticket and has already got through the ticket barrier.
but the other one(Mr.Slow) was still purchasing the ticket from the counter...
so lets see how the remaining scenario was....(mind u..there were lots of ppl at the station)

Mr.Fast : Oh..Shit..the train is here...hurry up u idiot....
Mr.Slow : Oh..what..???wait wait......
Mr.Fast : Faster.........FASTER...HURRY UP...its gonna leave...
Mr.Slow : OH F*CK U...F*CK U....SHUT UP...STOP screaming....i'm coming

haha...so i guess u know which part i'm emphasizing on...with all the ppl watching and even the Ticket counter man right in front of Mr.Slow when he said that...these ppl seem to think its nothing actually...
...u can imagine how was the remaining ppl at the station's expression was like...especially the elderly ones...i think they find it quite offensive..i even saw few of them shaking their head..

but as for me or maybe most of us..i think we're kinda used to it...i doesn't seem to matter much
maybe 30 years later when we see this again(or maybe worst..maybe they's invent more "pleasant" words by then)...i guess we wouldnt be shaking our heads like them rite?
...........;)

Lawatan sambil berkerja ke Jabatan Pertanian...

yea..tats rite...i went to the Jabatan Pertanian yesterday to gather some requirements for the system tat we're currently working on.
at first when my PM told me tat i was going with him..i was kinda excited...of course i would..hehe..coz tat was my 1st experience getting into the real world's customer.moreover..it was MONDAY...hahah..so any excuse to get out of my sleepy chair was definetely a great idea......so off we went...
the moment we reached into the office...i tot something must hav gone wrong.
i suddenly had the feeling of as if i was in the 1960's...
but i guess i was wrong..i am in year 2005...but the people there seemed to be from the 1960's....i guess tats how the typical governmet office looks like.
everyone there looked so antique....

i guess u can imagine the experience of trying to get their requirements and transforming it into a web-based system was like....phiewww...i felt like it took ages b'for we could even understand what they were trying to say and..all the ppl tat we spoke to were at least 40 n above...

they just have these loooooooong n lenghty procedures which i seem to find it very very very unnecessary...thats y they need minimum 1 year just to approve a registration in the Jabatan Pertanian....really really not efficient.

i guess tat gives us the answer y we hav to wait soooooo long just for simple government matters.
they tend to use systems which is dated back in the 1960's where they were probably using bicycles to move around...

the explanation was so lenghty tat i begin wondering how thick the lady's glasses tat we were speaking to could be..and trying to figure out probably how many years ago was this model famous...or would it hav ever been famous?maybe her parents bought if for her when she was small....and she didnt hav much choice...couldnt demand...so she just took it...
but then now....y on earth IS SHE STILL WEARING IT?
maybe the one she's wearing definetely deserves a place in the museum...probably the last model of its kind left in Malaysia....

..."prakash...r u listening?"
..."oooh wat..yea ...yea..yea...i am.."...

heh...anyway we managed to gather all the dreams...i mean requirements tat we tot we heard and god knows how the system is gonna turn out to look like...
and by the time we train all these aunties n uncles on how to use it....i think it would be time for them to retire...

i found this interesting link to show the System Development Lifecycle ... haha..i think most of us agree with this...take a look

an interesting quote...

one of my worknig collegue had this quote in his msn ID...i found it quite interesting...

"A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain..."

Mark T

just to say hello...

well yesterday i went for a function...and i met one of my Form 3 teacher there.
it was so good to see her again after so long...b'coz she was one of my favourite teacher in secondary school...she used to call me "Nambiar" in class!
haha...nevertheless it was unique...a selected few teachers who loved that "nambiar" word used to call me tat in class...

well at first when i saw her...ermmmm...i was a bit reluctant to go say hello...i just dunno y...i've got this phobia of not saying hello to people i've not seen for long time.
but its not that i'm trying to ignore them or pretend not to recognize them..its just that im kinda feeling worried maybe they don't recognize me.
...so i tried to prolong that moment by pretending doing something and saving the "saying hello" moment for later..since i'm busy(or so called busy...:P)...

hehe...so finally the moment came...i saw her outside and i decided to say hi...but then she was talking to someone...so i tot..i'll do it "later"(again)..since i didnt want to intterupt her...
...but then when i turned to walk ...suddenly i heard .."Prakash!"...(not nambiar this time...coz my dad was there)

...she called me...heh...and then started talking the usual topic...ask me how i am and when i graduated and stuffs..it was good to speak to her again.the memory of my secondary school seem to be coming back slowly...but then..towards the end..she said one thing...

"prakash u know...most of my ex-student who i taught...when they see me..they just pretend as if they dont see me..pretend to be doin somethin else..i mean how long would it take to just come n say hello?...its very sad to see that...they seem to forget who i am"

i said..."errmmmmm....yea...tats bad...tats rude actually......"
(look who's talking..i tot in my head)

i was really glad that i somehow managed to say hello to her.
i just can't imagine what she would hav thought of me if i just left the "later" thing to take control of me and i just left the place without saying hello.

that was really close...

my 2nd day....

well hello everyone...

i promised to write something when i get back home yesterday but unfortunately i reached home only at 10pm yesterday and was already exhausted...so i tot i'll save it for today

i woke up this morning n decided that i will try to catch the early train to get to my office a bit early(8.30am) so that i'll have sometime to fill up this blog b'for my boss comes in...heh..

so i reached the train station early...and so happen the early train hasn't arrived yet.
wow...great i thought...i quickly rushed to the tickect machine and there was 3 ppl in front of me.
i waited for my turn...but unfortunately one "aunty" there was struggling to get her notes in the lousy machine which is "hyper" sensetive to some selected notes.
ahhh...and the train came...shit i tought...not now...faster aunty fasterrrrrrrrr..change the bloody note!!!

finally she got it in...and i rushed to take my ticket...ahh...the train already reached...and every1 was getting in....
ohhh...my godd...now its my turn...the notes wouldn't get in!!!
karma..i tell u karma...scold ppl..n now u get it...u deserve it(says the old aunty's voice in my head...pls dunt ask me how did her voice sound like...i also dunno)
finally i got the ticket and rushed to slot the ticket in the machine and ran acrooss the Overhead bridge to cross to the other platform.....i can make it.......yeaaaaa...the train is still there.....
i ran down the stepsssss.....i was just 3 feet away from the doorrrrrr.....yeaaa...
and then....the door closed and the train started moving...

where am i now?
standing at the platform..staring at the moving train...

aih...wat a luck...so i waited another 15minutes and got the usual train...all the cursing and karma payback for nothin..
...so i reached Setia Jaya station...i walked as fast as i could....and i got stuck behind 3 "walking-talking" ladies.
ahhh..not noww..
the pathway was so narrow and this 3 wonderful ladies were blocking the whole way..so there was no chance i could overtake them....just great....just great...

i waited....and it seemed like their walking pattern was getting slower..becoz u know why?
they were busy analyzing each other's "earrings"!
wow...wat an achievement...they can do 3 things at one time...lets see wat else they can do.

goshhhhh....y is it so difficult to get to my office early?

i walked patiently...behind...hoping tat this topic would end soon..and they would start walking faster...
i mean logically...how long can u go on talking abt ear-rings?
how much is there to talk about it?
..i guess i was wrong...it didnt seem to end....until i reached a broader pathway...
i quickly overtook them...and managed to giv them an irritated look b'for i left them

heh..so here i am...now...in my office..finished my 2nd blog...with my boss taking his seat behind me.
so u know what it means..

hehehe....so i'll seeya guys later yah..........ciaooo..!
