spray here please...

last sunday i was in Mid Valley doing my deepavali shopping.
As i was walking around i came across those sales people who promote perfume.i think all of us have seen them before, they are usually stationed in the free walk area in the middle of the mall. These sales ppl would approach u and will offer to spray some perfume on you so tat you can test it.

I actually remembered an incident happened some time back related to this perfume thingy. Generally these perfume sales ppl would offer to either spray on ur wrist area or give you a sample piece of small paper with the perfume on it.

Now, there was this one aunty walking pass the sales ppl and as usual a girl offered to spray some on her. At first this aunty kinda rejected, but after some thought she decided to give it a try.
The best part of this incident is about WHERE the girl is gonna spray the perfume..

to my disbelief, this aunty actually lifted up her hand and asked the sales girl to spray some on her ARMPIT!
and to make things even more interesting this aunty was actually wearing a sleeveless blouse..haha..

i could see the shock expression on the sales girl's face.the girl who was so eager to let the aunty try out the new perfume..now looked kinda reluctant to move forward.she just stood still at her spot..deciding whether or not to fulfil this extraordinary request..
finally..after smelling the armpit from a distance and deciding tat it was well kept..the gal moved a little forward n sprayed some there..:D

as to how the aunty tested the smell of the perfume..i had no idea..i was too busy laughing my heads off to notice anything else tat happened after that..haha

im guessing probably she could ask someone she knows to smell for her and tell her how it was eh..but then again, she might not be able to smell the original smell of the perfume kan?

:D

where was i...

i hope everyone still remembers me...AND my blog..:D

i've been doing so many things last few weeks until it really makes me wonder if my life going to go on like this forever...haha..well lets hope it wont..coz to a certain extent although im enjoying it..i just feel that im missing out some of the other usual things in my life such as chatting with my buddies, watching tv at home with my family..going for dinner n all..probably i should learn to balance it up a bit.
ok so where was i and wat hav i been doing lately?

i've been attending a couple of tranings and seminars on and off since the begining of Sept. the first one around begining of Sept was Microsoft's Tech-Ed which was held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.Although im a Java developer now but I was using .Net in my previous company and moreover there are possibilities that we might be using other technologies for our upcoming projects, depending upon the requirements that is. So that is why my Senior Manager tends to not let us just be trapped in the Java world alone and wants us to be exposed to the updates of the other technologies as well.

Overall Tech-Ed was okay. Some of the conferences were worth it and the rest kinda boring. But im glad tat now i at least know the latest updates of their products as I hav kinda lost touch with .Net for quite some time.
I particularly enjoyed the place since its my first time spending time in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. I even met Chun Eng and a couple of other friends there. Managed to even catch up with Choy for lunch..hehe..so overall it went fine.

I couldn't stay for all 4 days for Tech-Ed because I had another 2 days training in Genting on the 3rd day of Tech-Ed. So me and 3 of my other colleagues(including my SM) left for Genting after 2 days in Tech-Ed.

In Genting we attended the IBM WebSphere & Rational Technical Boot Camp which lasted for 2 days. It was more on SOA and RUP using the Rational Software by IBM. That one was related to our current projects as we adopting RUP/UML. This training we had a lot of fun, thanks to our Senior Manager...:)
My SM is around 40 yrs old but has a very playful and jovial attitude.u can joke with like her just like how u joke with ur buddies of your age. to be frank, she makes u very comfortable being with her.can forget all the formalities and procedures.
For example, our first day training only starts at 2.30pm but she decided that we all should leave around 10am and we were in genting by 11.30am!haha..and after walking around..she said lets us all go for bowling since we had some time left.hehe..so we all went for a round of bowling..she belanja us.even playing bowling with her wasnt boring at all...each time she or any of us strikes..we would make so much noise and she would come n say.."Gimme Five!!"..haha..everyone there was pratically watching these bunch of "kids" playing.even the teenagers there were so well behaved...:P
But since we were all the same noisy "kaki"..so we managed to blend in well.

After bowling we went for makan and attended the training which lasted till 6.30pm.
we were then assigned a room..my SM and another colleague(girl) didnt stay back for the 2nd day training. The room was only for me and my another guy colleague.
so after refreshing ourselves in the room which was quite nice.we proceeded for our buffet dinner. But befor that, since me and my girl colleague are non-muslims, we got a free voucher each for Casino..hehe..but it was just rm10 voucher la..but nevertheless me and my fren just went in and see around.

After spending some time in the casino(we only played the lucky draw thingy..coz both of us were too "lost" in there..:P)..we joined my other colleagues for the buffet dinner..and then after dinner..we all got a free ticket to watch the Mysteria Show...hehehe..and off we went for the show.
It was really good, my first time watching magic right in front of my eyes.
and finally at around 11pm..we bid farewell to my SM and my other female colleague and both of us returned to our room.

The activity for the next day was Treasure Hunt. We were divided into 5 teams and had to solve a series of clues and questions related to our training on the previous day and in addition to that we had to complete certain tasks before we got the next clue. We had to play some of the outdoor games, perform rock-climbing and many other stuff in order to get our clues..so we were practically running all over the Outdoor and Indoor theme park like skool kids...ahaha. But the experience was different as we had the opportunity to play the games for free this time..:D

finally the treasure hunt ended at 1pm, we all got a 128MB pen drive and a IBM jacket each..and after checking out the room we left for KL.
We had a really good time during the Boot Camp, the food, accomodation, entertainment and the training itself was fun and planned well.
just hope there are more trainings like tat in future..hehe.

Then last week I attended another Microsoft Office 2007 Touchdown training in AmCorp mall. That training was the worst I attended so far. The presenters were not very effecient and the place was very uncomfortable. We were all pratically waiting when it would end but overall the product features was impressive just tat it was poorly presented.

and last week also i was really busy practising and performing in temples for a 10 day long festival.this year we had a few invitation in different temples to play the veena during the night session prayers. me and my other frens were pratically rushing after work everyday for practise and performance but it was kinda fun.this was my first time perfoming in temples ever since i joined as before this i was still new and didnt know some of the songs.
overall it was memorable watching ppl listen to u play and clap hands when u play a particular song they like..:)

WOEEI..WAKE UP LAR!!
i write soo long..and i can see all of u guys yawning away!

hahaha..:P

So overall that was a very long summary of my activities for the last few weeks and btw..i also finally registered for my long awaited sitar classes..i'll be starting next friday. n the classes are in Temple Of Fine Arts in Brickfields..so will be going there after work.hopefully it turns out well...coz i've been waiting soo long to start playing sitar..wil keep my fingers crossed..;)
