the end...or...is it just the begining?

well..heh...last saturday i had my final performance + graduation for my music lessons.
phiewwwww.....it is a relief for me now that i can wake up in the morning feeling all free and relaxed...heh..but of course i dont deny that i kinda miss the practise sessions we had now tat i dont have it anymore.

Saturday
around 3pm got ready...and i had to seek assistance from 3 ppl just to tie the "Dhoti/Veshti"(indian traditional attire for men) for me..hahah..i've never worn one in my life before and i had to wear one this time b'coz we hav to dress up 100% in traditional attire.
i was kinda worried that the dhoti might fall off..i'm not used to wear something like a towel and walk around too long.u know wat might happen
..so i decided to wear a belt on it...just in case...i'm not giving extra perfromance tonite...one show is enough..;)

and after 1 hour..i'm finally ready..my teacher insisted me that i gel up my hair to the back...she doesnt want to see anything droppin in front of my eyes.
"Prakash...pls gel ur hair to the back..if u dunno how to do i can do it for u"
"errr...no thanks teacher...i think i can manage it myself"...:P
i'm very sensetive abt my hair...i dun like to look like someone i think i'm not...so i tried my best to maintain my hair dropping in front..hehe..but in a very NEAT way..and my teacher was okay with it...thankfully..

so everything was set...and i started walkin only to realize tat it was actually so hard to walk with the dhoti...i was so scared i might trip n fall..my movements was so robot like..and i tot the best way was to lift up the dhoti slightly and walk.but my dad was making a big fuss out of it saying tat it looks very "sakai" like...
"thanks dad"..for the compliments

heh...so around 7.30 pm..the show begun..with an introduction sanskrit song by a very talented singer..we walked in and later played our songs on the stage..
the experince of playing infront so many audience was definetely something i would not be able to forget..hehe..i was really nervous...wat with my dhoti getting all tangled up with my leg...and by the time i could sit on the stage properly(had to adjust the dhoti well so tat things that we should not expose on stage is kept covered...ehem...)...every1 was already carryin up the instrument..i had to signal my tecaher to not start yet...
then we started...i think it went okay..i did make a few mistakes..hehe..due to tension..but of course..my teacher taught us the techniques to cover up...hahha..and i think i did a good "cover up"..no one seemed to realize the mistakes...:P

after the performance we had the graduation ceremony..each one of us were given our certificate. the certificate was very unique.it is made of silk cloth with our names and the relevant details embroided onto it!
something way more better and admirable compared to the one i received from apiit.
and onli then we knew whether we got 1st class or 2nd class.
the were 2 categories...one for Practical exam and the other for Theory.
and we were also awarded with a beautiful souvenir from my teacher..a veena made of glass(see pic)...it was simply amazing...couldnt take my eyes of it...

after tat the principle from india performed..a solo one of course..it was simply superb...

after everything ended...the India teacher called all of us and told us tat she has selected 3 students to come n stay with her in India for 1 month as she would like to give us special lessons and train us to play with the musical students in the music school.
some of us was kinda shock to be given an opportunity like tat...hehe..and was wondering who those 3 are.

and well....guess wat....my name was called out...:P
i couldnt believe it at first...heh...didnt know wat to say or how to react.
my parents didnt mind...b'coz its like one of the rare opportunities tat we could get as she seldom invites students hav special lessons from her...and they know i would like to learn more from her.so they left it to me to decide.

hmmm...so i guess its all up to me now.
1 month doesnt seem like very long rite?...maybe if everything goes well,i might just giv it a try.

heh...after this graduation i tot everything was over...but it seems like a new jouorney has just started...;)
