designing a system for the designers...

well..yeah..on last monday i was told by my PM that we will be going to visit a different client in Jalan Imbi.and actually we have already deployed a system for them a few months back.however the Project Manager for that project has left our company and now it seems that the system is not being used well by the client b'coz they still need training.
so my current PM was assigned the new task of taking over that system and i've got dragged in as well..since i'm in his team.
so around 2pm we left to KL and getting stuck in Jalan Imbi's traffic is horrible..then we had to park somewhere else n walk to the place..aduii...damn hot sum more.
so after 10 minutes walk we finally reached the client's office...

only to realize tat this client is a designer...he designs wedding attire and so on...wow...his butique was simply superb.the floor, ceiling and wall were in black...covered in black cushion..with orange spot lights.and all his collectin in some sort of white/milkish colour...so the contrast was very good.i guess he must be damn rich to hav spent tat much on his butique.

and so we had the presentation in their office...which was occupied by a few staffs...all wearing "stylo" kinda attire as well.i felt like an idiot there...like so out of place.me and my shirt hangging half out..my hair all dunno which direction..coz i had to walk in the sun..with the hot wind blowing..was sweating sum more...aduii..really malu case..

well only then i was informed that the owner of the butique..whom we were speaking to...actually designed wedding attire for the Brunei Sultan's Son's wedding...grrrr...and he's one of the top designers in malaysia.
hahah...tat came to me as a shock...no wonder his shop so changgih la...pocket all too full of $$$.

but..ehem..i guess the only prob was tat...most of the male staffs there are a bit...errr..."u know wat"...i think most male designers are like tat..and there's even one which i think went thru a surgery...coz her appearence didnt seem natural.
sometimes it feels very awkward to be sitting there...i think some of u can imagine how it feels.
im not discriminating or anything...maybe its just that i'm not used to it.
its my first time being in such company.but i guess i must learn to respect people more...regardless of who they are.

but then again..despite of being wat they are...they seem to be very successful in life..they hav more money than some of us...and are even more famous...all due to their hardwork.
i guess being discriminated by the public made them stronger and now they r proving to the world tat they can achieve wat they want by being who they are.
and i guess i'll take my hats off for tat...and i will know better not to speak negatively abt them again.
seeing his awards in the office and all the setup really kinda woke me up...some of the awards received seemed to be very very high tech.

hmm..so i guess i learned a new lesson...the world is filled with so many different people...just because we think we are perfect, it doesnt mean the ones we think not perfect are failures...sometimes they are way ahead of us...;)

Maybe your clients and my company clients can become friends, since they are all "oriented" in the same manner, haha.... they also run a boutique by the way

Well, these ppl are well known to be more hardworking than us so-called 'normal' ones. I do know companies who only hires these ppl because these companies thinks that the 'normal' ones are too lazy and demanding.

haha..yaka..i guess more ppl should be realizing now that these people deserve a better place in the eyes of the public since some of them are way more talented than we probably are.
